Every piece I make is custom and made to order for you, so I don't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, a size ordered in error, or wood or color preference. Here's how I make sure you get exactly what you expect — and what happens if something goes wrong.
Before I start: your mockup approval
After you order, I email you a digital mockup showing your text, layout, wood or Corian color, and size. Nothing gets cut until you approve it. Please check spelling, names, and dates carefully — once approved and carved, the design can't be changed.
Cancellations
You can cancel for a full refund any time before you approve your mockup. After approval, I've committed material and shop time, so cancellations aren't possible.
If it arrives damaged
Shipping damage happens, and I'll make it right. Within 7 days of delivery, email support@craftedcarvings.com with:
- a photo of the damage, and
- a photo of the shipping box and packing material (the carrier needs these for the insurance claim).
I'll file the claim and start your replacement right away — you don't wait on the carrier. Replacements ship at no cost to you.
If I made a mistake
If what arrives doesn't match your approved mockup — wrong spelling, size, or wood — email me within 7 days of delivery with a photo and I'll remake it at no charge, or refund you in full. Your choice.
Non-custom items
A few items are sold as-is rather than made to order: Corian scrap and pen blanks, and the NFC coasters and tags. These may be returned unused and in original condition within 14 days of delivery. Email support@craftedcarvings.com first for a return address; the buyer pays return shipping. Refunds go out within 5 business days of my receiving the item.
Refunds
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days — of my receiving a returned item, or, for damage and mistake cases, as soon as we've agreed on the fix. Your bank may take a few more days to post it.
Shipping
- Everything ships from my shop in Rosamond, California, by USPS or UPS depending on size.
- Processing time is up to 21 days from mockup approval to shipping. It's usually faster, and I'll give you a current estimate in your mockup email. Please allow extra time in November and December.
- Shipping cost is calculated at checkout by size and weight. Bath trays and larger signs ship in oversized boxes, which is why they cost more.
- You'll get a tracking number by email when your order ships.
- I ship within the United States only.
